Field Note / 03

Before you send a plan for review

A short checklist to make your first plan conversation more useful.

Send the current version.

Identify the drawing date, source, and permission to share or modify the plan. Include all relevant floors and exterior views if available.

Describe what you want to improve.

List household routines, must-have rooms, major frustrations, architectural preferences, project location, and broad budget context. Separate firm requirements from ideas you want to explore.

Explain the project stage.

Tell us whether you own the land, have a builder, have commissioned engineering, or have already submitted plans. A useful review depends on understanding which decisions remain open.
